CADSTUDIO and Bytes & Building become auxalia

Hamburg, May 24, 2019 – Growth means change. From June 2019, the experts for digitization in the construction industry will enter the race for the customers. The merger of CAD STUDIO ABCOM GmbH and Bytes & Building GmbH will create auxalia GmbH, the largest Autodesk partner in the German-speaking area, specializing exclusively in the construction industry.

Optimization of process-controlled plant design and engineering

Plant design and engineering is a very consulting-intensive industrial sector. In order to realize consulting projects, a high level of know-how on individual work processes and regional and international requirements is very important. Over the years, customer requirements on the efficiency of their processes, especially in plant engineering, have steadily increased. Requirements that can only be partially realized with standard software. Against this background, auxalia has developed its own tools, the auxalia PlantTools, to be able to use Autodesk Plant Solutions products even more efficiently. In addition to that the own development department offers the possibility to implement individual solutions according to the customer’s requests.

PlantCenter
PlantCenter is a tool that provides a central location for launching AutoCAD P&ID and AutoCAD Plant 3D projects as well as PlantDataManager and PlantReporter.
PlantClashDetection
Our PlantClashDetection Tool enables users to analyze clashes between model and xref objects from within AutoCAD Plant3D without the use of Autodesk Navisworks.
PlantDataManager
PlantDataManager was developed so that customers could have access to plant project data without having AutoCAD P&ID and/or AutoCAD Plant 3D installed on their computers.
PlantExpressTools
PlantExpressTools are a collection of CAD-related functions as well as project administration features.
PlantLink
PlantLink significantly extends the use of data with your plant project data by enabling linking to external and internal data sources with flexible and configurable unidirectional and/or bidirectional live links.
PlantReporter
PlantReporter extends and enhances reporting capabilities by both enabling reporting of plant project data without Autodesk products and by providing additional configurability.
PlantSync
PlantSync enables project administrators to maintain standards in a single “template project” and update one or many live projects quickly and easily.

PlantTools are a set of applications and utilities specifically designed to enhance the workflowand functionality of the Autodesk Plant Solutions products, AutoCAD P&ID and AutoCAD Plant 3D. Standard software products are made for the global market. AutoCAD Plant 3D is an easy to use and very powerful software solution from Autodesk but underestimated however, is the configuration of a reference project that is needed to generate all future projects.

AutoCAD P&ID is an easy to use and very powerful software solution from Autodesk Plant Solutions. It allows users to create, maintain and revise piping and instrumentation diagrams in shorter time, with tools that are more powerful than regular AutoCAD and with the capability of creating reports. Underestimated however, is the configuration of a reference project that is needed to generate all future projects and piping and instrumentation diagrams.

On day 1 we discuss all the information which is needed for a standard configuration for AutoCAD P&ID.

Settings for AutoCAD P&ID (Symbols, Tags, Annotations, Data Fields (Properties), Drawing Border and Title Block, Layers, Colors, Text Style)

In day 2 and 3 we do the configuration of the reference project on site.

To expand or make changes on the reference project, the user requires a skill level based on our advanced training. Working knowledge of piping and instrumentation diagrams is preferred but not necessary; knowledge on an advanced level of AutoCAD is advisable. Knowledge of company rules, settings, standards and procedures is essential.

To match your exact needs which are more exigent than the standard configuration we offer our assessment. During this assessment all settings, components and specifications have to be made clear.

After the assessment on site we will write a report to document all the specifications. In the implementation plan, the time needed to create the reference configuration is noted. Also written down the customer components, tagging rules, labels, annotations and specifications that have to be made.

Typically an assessment for P&ID can be cut into a number of sections:

  • Settings for AutoCAD P&ID
  • Symbols, Tags, Annotations, Data Fields (Properties), Drawing Border and Title-Block, Layers, Colors, Text Styles
  • Calculations, Rules, Data Flow in P&ID
  • Interfacing with external programs and data
  • Future plans for extensions
  • Use of PlantTools
  • Additional Software Development

Duration 4 days:

2 days on site to verify the needs. 2 days in our office to write an implementation plan.

  • Isometric and Ortho graphic template and settings Title block, layer scheme, Process data, test data pipe line, Dimensioning and labelling, Parts list, weld list, cut list
  • Pipe specs Which standards, Endtypes, Supplier content, Required properties

After the assessment has taken place you will receive the report including a quotation to cover all the necessary steps to meet the company wishes and demands.
